Shooters are one of the oldest game genres. Ever since humans first grabbed their hips, there has been something of a game of shooting in their sweaty glove pads. From Space Invaders to Ikaruga, from Gradius to Crezon Clover, the genre has created some of the most addictive, replayable, timeless games of all time.

It's also an incredible niche genre that, for the most part, has been forgotten. But that doesn't mean they don't exist on modern hardware. PS4/PS5 has an extensive library of all the classics and modern legends to experience.
