The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is an American spy novel television series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television and aired for the first time on NBC. The series premiered on September 22, 1964, and was completed on January 15, 1968. The show caused a spy novel craze on television, and by 1966 there were almost a dozen imitators. Several episodes were successfully screened in theaters as B movies or dual features. There is also a spin-off series, "United Nations Girls", a series of novels and comics, and merchandise sales. This series rarely reappears and attracts many high-profile guest stars. The props of this series are on display in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, and the museums of the Central Intelligence Agency and other American intelligence agencies. The series won the Golden Globe Award for Best TV Show in 1966.
