George Harrison is a British guitarist, musician, singer, composer, music and film producer, and is known worldwide as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. In 988, he was introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Beatles. In 2004, he was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist again. Rolling Stone magazine ranked 21st among the top 100 guitarists in 2003 and 11th in 2011. In 2006, he won the Star Medal on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In February 2015, he was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Harrison was ranked 62 in the 2002 BBC's 100 Greatest Britons vote.
