"In the End" is a song sung by the American rock band Lincoln Park. It was written and composed by Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, Joseph Han, Mike Shinda, and Rob Baden. The song was included in the first studio album "Hybrid Theory" in Lincoln Park, which was released on October 9, 2001, as the fourth single of the album.
On August 29, 2002, the song won the "Best Rock Video" award at the MTV Music Video Awards and was nominated for the "Best Video of the Year" and "Best Band Group Video" awards.
The song was born by working in a windowless recording studio in Hollywood. The prototype of "In the End" was conceived by Mike Shinta. After conceiving the prototype of "In the End", Mike gave the song to the band drummer Rob Baden. Rob Baden thought the song was a good fit for the album "Hybrid Theory", so the band launched the song Perfect work. The original name of the song was "Untitled".
