Charles Bronson was an American actor who was often cast in roles of police officers, gunfighters, or vigilantes in revenge-oriented plot lines. He had long-term collaborations with film directors Michael Winner and J. Lee Thompson and appeared in 15 films with his second wife, Jill Ireland.At the height of his fame in the early 1970s, he was the world's No. 1 box office attraction, commanding $1 million per film.Director Sergio Leon once called him "the greatest actor I have ever lived" and wanted Bronson to be the protagonist of the 1964 film "Fist". Bronson rejected him, and the role made Clint Eastwood a movie star. This film is the highest selling film in France in 1969. Bronson then played the leading role in the French thriller "Knight in the Rain" and was a big success in France. It won the Hollywood Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Bronson has starred in some French-Italian action movies, "Violent City" and "Cold Khan", the latter being directed by Terence Young. He starred in the French thriller "Someone Behind the Door" with Anthony Perkins, and then starred in another film directed by Young, the French-Spanish-Italian western film "Red Sun". "Walaki Thesis" and Yang Sanfen. Bronson plays Joseph Varaki. That year, this overseas fame together with Sean Connery won him the Golden Globe Henrietta Award for "The World's Most Favorite Man in Movies".
