Welcome Back, Kotter is an American sitcom starring Gabe Kaplan. He is a satirical high school teacher responsible for a racial and ethnic diversity tutoring class called "Svegas". It was originally recorded in front of a live studio audience, and originally aired on ABC from September 9, 1975 to May 17, 1979.
