Peach is one of the most gullible and vulnerable characters in gaming history. The game industry has long since abandoned the notion of a teenage girl's dilemma, but Peach gets kidnapped in every Mario game anyway.

With a modicum of sense, the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom would have understood Bowser's antics and taken steps to protect the Peach Princess, a royal member of their kingdom, from all harm. But no, Mario needs to take action every time.
