The Dick Van Dyke Show is an American TV sitcom, originally aired on CBS from October 3, 1961 to June 1, 1966, with a total of 158 half-hour programs spanning five seasons. It is co-produced by Calvada Productions, CBS Television Network and Desilu Studios. The show is produced by Reiner in collaboration with Bill Persky and Sam Denoff. The theme song of the show was composed by Earl Hagen, and the series won 15 Emmy Awards. In 1997, the episodes "Big Mouth from Coast to Coast" and "It Looks Like a Walnut" ranked 8th and 15th respectively in the 100 episodes of TV Guide ever. In 2002, the series was ranked 13th in the 100th episode of "TV Guide" The 50 greatest TV shows of all time, and it ranked 20th in the list of 60 best TV shows in 2013.
