Super Mario Advance was a port of Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES, which itself was based on the Japanese 2D platformer Doki Doki Panic. To a large extent, it mirrors the version of the game from the SNES Super Mario All-star pack and was released as a release game for the Game Boy Advance.
Although some publications have criticized the decision to release super Mario Bros. 2 as a cover version of the game's sequel or advantage super Mario World, Super Mario was one of the best sellers launching Game Boy Forward, the title was added to the player's selection lineup shortly after due to its strong sales performance.
