James Douglas "Jim" Morrison is an American singer-songwriter and poet. He is best known as the lead singer of the Los Angeles rock band Portal. Morrison was fascinated by the works of Nietzsche, Rimbaud and Jack Kerouac in his early years, and combined them with lyrics with his own ability, making him one of the most artistically talented and influential singer-songwriters in history . Morrison is known for improvising and reciting poems during band performances. Because of his wild personality and stage style, critics and fans consider him to be one of the most representative, glamorous and pioneering front-end people in the history of rock and roll.
