The propeller plane itself is the only aircraft that can be purchased separately, while other award aircraft need to buy a deluxe or premium version of Microsoft's flight simulator. 

However, the price of the Carenado Skylane is much more expensive than the average of about $6 per new plane for a more luxurious version of the game, because it costs $30 to get it. 

The game does give players the ability to take off and fly, although part of the reason is that it lightens their wallets through deals such as unlocking the propeller plane.
