In an ominous colorless landscape, you must solve puzzles and obstacles on your way. There are many ways to die in this game, from falling to drowning and even being impaled by a giant spider's leg. None of these gruesome endings are particularly gory, as Limbo is black and white, and there are no startling red blood stains.

While the consequences of losing in this game are jarring, they are not unbearable. When hit or thrown, your character falls to the ground like a Rag Doll, and you don't have to face the gruesome details.
