Zhang Ziyi (Zhang Ziyi; born February 9, 1979) is a Chinese actress and model. Her first major role was "Road House" (1999). Later, she won international recognition for Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000) and was nominated for 10 Academy Awards. Zhang also appeared in "Rush Hour 2" (2001), "Hero" (2002) and "Flying Dagger" (2004). Her most acclaimed work is "Memoirs of a Geisha" (2005), which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress Nomination-Film Opera, BAFTA Best Actress Award and Screen Actors Association Outstanding Award. Actress' actor performance; and The Grandmaster (2013), for which she won 12 different best actress awards, becoming the most awarded Chinese actress in a movie.
