Much like the return of Far Cry in 2004, Crysis pushed the PC photo industry forward; It also does so in a tropical environment, with great freedom in how you use combat conditions. You can see that Crysis, despite being a 2007 game, has matured, even though it captures the essence of true Far Cry.
